4L60E Transmission

Hello!

I would like to know what the trick to installing the 2-4 power band assembly.

Are you talking about the servo on the side of the case or the actual band into the tranny case during an over-haul ?

4l60e 2-4 band inside tranmisson need help

I am talking about the band inside the tranmission . I am not doing a overhaul just change the output shaft to a 2 wheel drive shaft. I am having a hard time with the 2-4 band . I install the band lock aganist the pin and aganist the servo when I try to install the drum assembly the band comes out of place, I try removing the servo and pushing aganist the band no luck is there a tool for this , .Thank you for you help

the band is installed after the drums are in.


Slide the servo side of the band in first while pushing the drums away with a large screw driver.

DO NOT gouge the surface of the drum with the screw driver. Do NOT bend the tabs on the band to ease the band in!
