4L60E valve bodys

I am to the point on my 4L60E where the valve body is the only thing to finish.

I found a guy on E-bay that is selling dyno tested valve bodys with the sonax TCC upgrade and all the electronics tested for $159, then there is a $30 core, and like $15 shipping.

I found the Sonax TCC reamer for $102 plus the cost of the valve.

Whats everyones opinion on buying vs doing it my self???

Keith

re: 4L60E valve bodys

Hi Keith,
Hope things have gone well for you since I've
last seen you, I've been meaning to stop by
but each time I'm over there it's late, I'll make
it before to long.
As for the VB, I think the testing don to the VB
is worth the extra money, unless your able to
do that yourself also.
Take care,
Rich

re: 4L60E valve bodys

You must match up the 4l60e v-body , there are a couple of different designs.

I use the TransGo PWM valve for the v-body. No need to have the Sonnax tools

trans

Crosley, thanks for the tips. Do you use a full trans go kit in the 4L60E’s ?? If so can I get the part number from you?? Or can I get the parts numbers of the individual parts that you use.. Do you replace all the solenoids?? Or just do the ohm test??

Keith, I also use the transgo PWM valve for our units, we buy the transgo kit for our rebuilds.

I'm not at the shop right, and won't be back until saturday,

If Crosley is not able to respond with the part # by saturday, I will post it.
