4l60e

Hello im tommy,a 4l60e is a electronic trans,in allmost all cases this transmission can not be bypassed with out extensive knowlage of how the shift silinoids-epc-converter silinoids work. allso shift points will be harsh and probly not function for long or at all with out voltage being applyed to the silinoids ect...there are some after market test boxes made for shopes to plug and play/drive the vechial but again this almost all ways defalts the epc electronic pressure control to defalt to full on pressure wich leeds to harh shift patterns.hope this helps.fohldmon

the 4l60e requires a controller or computer hooked to it to shift automatically & main line pressure control .

TransGo has a kit to convert the trans to vacuum controlled main line pressure and FULL manual only shifts. There may be other kits availible that I do not know of.
