4L80E Wiring Harness Swap?

I'm a mechanically adept ( but non-mechanic ) RV guy with a 91 Chev 454 and 4L80E in my RV. Would appreciate some hot rodder expert help. This early Trany is strong but it's Torx wiring harness leaks like a sieve. I've bought the new clip replacement harness and am ready to swap the harness. In doing my home work I cant find and DYI instructions on the mechanical exchange of the 80 harness. It will be a same to same exchange so shouldn't have big compatibility issues . I saw a great U-Tube video on doing it on a 4L60 ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Svl0fDl1qI ) but it has scared me as the 60 needs to have the Valve Body removed which is a bit much for a drive way job and my condo folks only give me 72 hours to get her done. So my questions are: How to remove the internal plastic connector ( just jimmy it out with screwdrivers or is a special tool needed or with socket per the L60 or...) and will I have to remove any internals other than just connectors to swap out the wires? Any other help/tips would be appreciated. A quick reply would be great as the condo folks are real rule freaks !!! Thanks in advance Paul

If you are replacing the internal harness with a late design, simply hit the case connector to drive the plastic end out of the case towards the interior of the case with the pan removed.

Be careful with the re-wire of the vehicle side of the harness to fit the new connector on the updated harness. Match up the wire color codes per the instructions

Thanks for the quick reply...would have hated to had a big OMG "there's more to this simple project than meets the eye" !!! Thanks Again. BUT NEW PROBLEM!!! Drained the fluid any only got about a quart out. Got to late to get the pan off will do it in AM. Looks like I'm also leaking from the torque converter(TC), if so what do I do to verify/rule out that problem. If it's a bad TC what's the procedure? Thanks
