4x4 1994 Trans problems ????

I Have a 1994 4x4 chevy truck,it used to have a v6 in it and i believe it was all computer controlled(eng.and trans.), now it has like a 327 or 350 chevycarb motor in it,im not sure what trans it is i think 700r4 it says MD8 on housing...my question is, this trans has been rebuilt 2 times by a good trans rebuilder and it has went out again....only goes in reverse no forward gears im pretty sure its burned up fluid is black what trans do i put back in it.......

it does have the 4 pin plug on the drivers side of trans but only one wire is hooked up....
im confused please help thanks

Is the TV cable on the trans hooked up and adjusted correctly.

yes i just checked after you asked , thats the cable that goes of the t.b. and down to the right side of the trans
