5.3 cylinder heads
what are these heads reffered to and will they work on a old 70` ish block using a vortec style intake. i`ve got a 383 motor with a 4 bolt main high nickel block with vortec heads on it and i`d like to take some weight off ... the 5.3 heads are aluminum and i thought they might be the ticket.

I'm assuming your taking about the ls 5.3l and no they won't bolt up. Different bolt pattern. although I did hear about someone bolting them onto a sbf.

dart or world, can't remember what one.. but one cast a block to use the ls style heads on the older blocks..
