5.3l swap 91 caprice

Ok im looking for as much info as I can for swapping a 5.3l into my 91 caprice. I know some info already about the swap but still a lot of info needed.

I want to keep my 700r4 because I just rebuilt it with a monster tans corvette kit. Will the bell house bolt to the 5.3l?

Is their a flex plate or torque conv. that will bolt to the 5.3l and 700r4?

Does anyone make a cable kit for the throttle and tv cable?

I watched a video of a guy do a 4 wire ecm harness to run the 5.3l should I do that or try to find a premade harness?

The GEN 3 5.3 engine will bolt directly to the bellhousing of any GM auto trans, the info for the crank spacer, flexplate and 6 longer bolts is above.

GM Part Number 12563532) and 6 bolts (GM Part Number 12563533.
If you use teh correct flexplate, you will be able to use your torque converter you have.

I would be grabbing at least a 700r4 Corvette converter to get the stall speed up for the 5.3 due to its elevated torque/power bands. Or even a performance TC, but they can get exp[ensive for quality items.

A 4 wire harness must be for an afterm, arket control box. I think you need more for a GM ECM/PCM.

Good harnesses can be $600-$1000. EFIConnection does good harnesses, they use the real die sets for crimping their connectors.

Lokar also makes TV cables. You might be able tow weld soemthing onto the GEN 3 LM7 5.3's throttle body to use a longer TV cable.
