5.7" vs 6" rods for sbc 406

which is better for street or strip. and what block prep must be done.

5.7 for street, short rod will rpm quicker from idle up. . . better pin location in piston to keep from side loading thrust side.

6.00 best for track, leaving at higher rpm takes advantage of the rod dwell and the longer rod is better at making power high up.. . .unless it is a pro stock engine. . .another story.
