5 Star Autobody products opinions?

Hey all. Anyone heard of 5 Star Autobody Products? They are very 'cost effective' (read cheap), and I can get them locally with an added discount. $80 for a gallon of DTM Primer/Surfacer .

I'd rather not use cheap, multi-purpose crap on my car, but I had initially planned to do a full blown, proper restoration. Things have changed, and I need to do my car, cheap. I will be doing it properely and fully in a couple years.

5 Star Now,I do have experience spraying and sanding there primer, and I didn't find it too bad at all. Im just curious as to if anyone has had this product fail, or blah blah blah.

Thanks a bunch, much appreciated.

Like a number of other discount products out there, they will "Get the job done". I did a solvent test on their epoxy and it failed, but many "good" epoxies don't hold up to it either (though some do).

I say do it, it isn't going to "fail" or anything like that any more than anything else.

I've use the clear Extreme Clear and found it a good product. I did reduce it about 25%, used a slow activator and it flowed out real nice. Not much orange peel and it color sanded really well, and took on a great gloss.
