5" vs 6" DA - Abrasives are cheaper for 5" - worth using?

I've noticed that dollar per inch 5" is substantially cheaper. Any advantage to switching to 5" sanders? Seems like most of the sanding is done on the outer perimeter of the disc anyways so it may not hurt much in sanding time to switch to a smaller 5" sander. Anyone use a 5" for this reason?

I use both, but the 5" mostly for my woodworking.
for car sanding, it seems to me the 6" is so much faster
it seems a big difference for only a inch bigger.
But it sure seems a lot better

There is a much better selection of grits in 6" disks..

You can resurface the shoe for a mini da to accept stik-it disks by sanding off the hook-it surface and then trim and use the "unused" centers of used 6 inch stick-it paper to get your monies worth out of the paper...
