50 chev vin??

quick question does a 50 chev car have a vin or does it just use the #'s on the body tag ?

where would the vin be hiding ?

It does have a Vin... my '51 Fleetline has it in the drivers door frame, near the top.. a '50 will be ither a HK ( Fleetline ) or a HJ ( Styleline ) as the first 2 charecters on the plate. The H signafies 1950.

VIN= Vehicle Identification Number.
All vehicles have VINS, just older ones have the "problem" of that VIN being the engine number, the frame number, or the body number. On many state's older paperwork there are spaces for serial numbers, body numbers, and engine numbers.

The modern term VIN is often misunderstood as to most people the only VIN in the world in one satmped in a black and silver plated riveted on the forward edge of the dash just under the bottom edge of the driver side windshield
