'50 Chevy IFS
I want to put an Independent Front Suspension on the front of my '50 Chevy 1/2 ton truck. As far as I can tell, my only options are the Mustang II style kits that lower the front from 2-6", even with stock spindles. I would prefer to keep the height as close to stock as possible. Does anyone have any ideas how to accomplish both of my goals? Transferring an IFS system from a newer truck looks to be rather difficult, with lots of chances to make monster mistakes. Plus it is still a used front end instead of new. I'm getting closer to accepting the idea of a lower truck, but I thought that I'd try tapping into the knowledge (and experience) base here before I gave up. Thanks!

This is what you are looking for. I have a friend that did this 20+ years ago. Keeps your truck close to the stock height.
