50 ford rack and pinion help
posting this for a friend. He has a 50 ford 2dr and he installed a 91 Tarus steering rack unit. He shortened the steering arms on the spindles and the left tie rod. The now has bad bump steer to the left when he hits a bump. What's the cure?? Thanks JK

Your friend has gotten caught up in the rush to ' rack and pinion ' like a lot of folks...... Rack and Pinion steering is not a simple bolt on....as friend has found out. Everything has to be engineered together. The arms and tie rods have to have the same travel arc as the lower A arm ......or bump steer will be present.....
what to do next to fix
So to fix this do we need to just set the rack so that it's in the same plane as the lower arm. ?? thanx JK
