Sounds kinda high. I would think 180-195 degrees at the most. What thermostat and radiator do you have in your car?

Its high for a performance motor, but not excessive. What is the rest of the setup(car, radiator, waterpump, thermostat, weather)

I have the carburated version of the ZZ502 and it normally ran about the same, which according to several engine builders I talked to isn't bad for these newer engines. After all, they come with a 195 degree stat in them. I did however install a new B-Cool rad & dual fans with a 195 on/175 off switch and it follows those guidelines perfectly. Fans come on at 195 and go off at 175. Mine is in a 69 pro street camaro.

My 502/502

My Ramjet 502 runs the same temps, 200-220, on occasion a bit higher. I have no 'overheating' issues boil over etc. I was told by many that this is normal for this engine. Remember your temp reading is coming from the head (mine does) and not the intake which would tend to read cooler.
