SB to BB conversions usually go easily in cars that cam factory with BBs. Yes, the BB will bolt right up to the TH350 and convertor. In an 80's Malibu or 3rd gen Camaro it is a little more complicated. In an S10 or a Vega it's even more complicated. The main expense in a vehicle that never came stock with a BB is the headers.
The big block will be going into my 66 Impala. I should have plenty of room.... After spending 10 g's on a motor. The headers should be a snap......
I did a 496 in a 1980 Grand Am ( same chassis basically as the el camino ) and i used hooker super comp headers they fit nice one tube is a fender well though
As others have said the swap in the Imp should be cake
I am interested in putting that same motor in my 63 Imp. Did you buy the motor yet? I am a little worried about spending 10G's on it and something be wrong.
Headers for a 66 Impala are a snap to find, as the 66-67 Impala came with a big block 427 as an option.
