502 big block time.....

Any thoughts on the this motor...... http://www.sallee-chevrolet.com/Chev...imate_502.html

And what is involved in swapping out a SBC to a BBC. I have a t350 trans, will the BB fit up to the t350?? Will the stall converter still work?

Thanks in advance.....
Dave

sb to bb

SB to BB conversions usually go easily in cars that cam factory with BBs. Yes, the BB will bolt right up to the TH350 and convertor. In an 80's Malibu or 3rd gen Camaro it is a little more complicated. In an S10 or a Vega it's even more complicated. The main expense in a vehicle that never came stock with a BB is the headers.

The big block will be going into my 66 Impala. I should have plenty of room.... After spending 10 g's on a motor. The headers should be a snap......

I am interested in putting that same motor in my 63 Imp. Did you buy the motor yet? I am a little worried about spending 10G's on it and something be wrong.

Headers for a 66 Impala are a snap to find, as the 66-67 Impala came with a big block 427 as an option.
