50's chev truck axle under belair????

i was wondering if any one has used this axle under a tri-5 chevy. next question is what was used for a front axle in the late 50's to 60's gasser's. i'm building a 55 two door post belair gasser and i want to build it period perfect to early 60's. the main problem is that i was a little too young to remember how guys built there cars in the 60's, being born in 1985 in all.
thanks for a your info,

we have a 1957 2 door bel air gasser done in the 70s or maybe earlier.,

straight front axle and 9" rear with long studs

i would like to get pics so you can see but its covered up and sitting side by side with other vehicles so tightly that i cant hmmm

we plan on ditching the entire chassis in favor of the stock unmolested one under a 57 4 door 210 we picked up for dirt cheap.
we also need it for center of dash and firewall, and the trans tunnel because in the gasser the engine sitting under the dash haha
also need the rad support and parts because the gasser has a fiberglass tilt front nose

have had the gasser since about 82, a local racer guy converted it long ago.

most of the 4 door will be the 2 door haha

one of these days
