51 chevy brakes

I'm new to this and need help. I'm getting ready to buy a 51 chevy coupe with no brake set up. where do i start? where can i find parts? i also want to re do the suspension with a drop.

If you dont have the brakes etc now, you can either go with a Mustang11 setup, do a clip install from a Camaro/Nova etc........there are other ways too. Best thing is to decide now what you want to do. No sense redoing all the old brakes now, and later wanting that dropped front end and then redoing it all for disc brakes etc.

what years of camero/nova will fit the 51? I definitely want front discs and drop. what about the rear? how do i get that the same height?

Its not a matter of what will fit, You have to make it fit.

I used a 76 Nova clip in my 51 Ford pickup. The frame rails lined up quite well, but not perfect. You have to measure, measure, measure before cutting anything.
