51 f-2 door lock

I've got a 51 ford f-2 cab with f-1 frame and 6' box that I'am working on. The title says F-2. The drivers door doesn't have a outside door key lock. The right side has one. It came with and extra LT door with the hole for a lock. Is the door without lock a f-2 and the other a f-1? I'am not real sure if it will be and issue because I may shave the doors and go electric but was just curious what I've got

The early Ford trucks only had a key lock on the right side ... just like the Ford cars. In 1951, Ford came out with a 5 star option. The 5 star package gave you key locks in both doors, a visor on both sides and some extra chrome and trim. ALSO a pair of arm rests. SO ... having just one key lock is standard. You raise the door handle from the inside ( drivers side ) and then slide across the seat ... exit the cab and lock the door.
