My son and I want to put an Olds or Caddy, (Prefer Caddy) in a 51 Mercury and do NOT want to do a sub-frame. Can anyone provide me with info on this process? This is an old derelict 50's custom that we want to bring back to life.
Thanks
Ol Blue
There were several engine swap makers that offered mounts to do that swap. Ansen as well as Offenhauser and several others I can't recall now. You can probably locate them at www.vintagespeed.com or other sites that deal in vintage parts. If you want some specific part#s for the old mounts e-mail me offline with exact engines you want and I'll get the #s out of an old catalog. It isn't too hard to make mounts if worse come to worse.
