51 pontiac frame swap

I'm wanting to update my 51 pontiac to modern suspension. Was thinking of just swapping the whole frame. Does anyone know of a good fit? I've heard a monte carlo frame works well. What year would I need?

Whatever frame that you choose, you are looking at a whole different floor pan.
Check out an S10 frame, I bet they would be close, having straight rails etc.

My daughter had a 51 chevy follow her home last fall so she decided to keep it and now dad has another project. I know some of the body parts are the same as your pontiac so here is what the previous owner did. He cut off the front stub and welded on one from a 85 buick regal. It has power disc in front and I think the rear end is out of a monte carlo. It has a chevy 350 and a turbo 400. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I think I'll do the stub thing. The floor is really solid and I'd rather not mess with it.
