Question 51 Stude

I have a 51 Stude biz coupe that needs reframing.
The wheel base is 115 inches, and the Studes of this era are very narrow. What would be a good frame for this car? I have a 350, 350 turbo for it.
I need advice about framing this car.

Not sure what exactly the term "reframing" means...but here goes.
1. If you mean your frame is rusted out, rotten, bent and unusable, I believe the frames for all Study passenger cars are about the same from 1947 through 1952. So find a crappy old 4door and grab the frame.
2. If you mean use the frame from some other make of car such as a late model Malibu or something, don't try it!
3. The best way to gain better front suspension, brakes, steering, etc. is to use a Pinto/Mustang II front suspension setup. Your rear suspension should be ok, just change the rearend to get tougher gears and better brakes. If the springs are flat, you can get them re-arched at any local spring shop for a nominal charge.
Best of Luck!
