52 chevy
 

I want to buy a 52 chevy from one of my dads friends. But i don't know how much it is worth or if it is worth buying?

It has one large dent on the side and needs paint.
Also the engine "runs".
it has been parked for about 10-15 years.

Im considering buying it to turn it into a hot rod.
Any advice would be apreciated.

if the price is right & you like the car WHYYYYYYYYYY not. The 50's shoebox chevys are very popular, there are lots of aftermarket stuff along with stock parts out there. You can get just about anything to do everything to these cars...joe

I have a 70, had a 52 If you can do it get it, finding complete rods is hard. you may never have another opertunity. go for it

If you would like an idea what the car is worth, pop "NADA" into your web browser and click on NADA guides. Go to classic car value and click on proper year, make, etc. and it will give you a ballpark value in different vehicle conditions. But keep in mind that a car is worth whatever one is willing to pay for it. Sounds like a good opportunity if you like that type of car. You do not run by 52 Chevys everyday anymore.
