'53 Chevy needs back seat
I have a '53 Chevy 2 door Belair. When I got it the back seat was missing. I have a friend that bought a '54 4 door for a parts car and he is willing to give me the back seat. Anyone know for sure if it will work?

I can't see why it won't work as the 54 was basically a face-lift of the 53.

It is exactly the same back seat as far as I know. Check out the attached drawing. It gives the interior dimensions of the '53-'54 2dr and 4dr sedan and shows no difference to the back seats. Hope this helps!  Rich

Thanks for the help! Looks like if there is a difference it's small enough to deal with. When I pick the seat up (it's a days trip, so I'll go on a weekend) I'll pull this post back up and let everyone know for sure.
