'53 Ford Customline Antenna Location
My '53 Customline Tudor didn't come with a radio. I've installed one and am trying to find the exact location to mount the antenna on the front right fender.

Right front fender - and almost impossible to add/replace an antenna and run the cable without pulling the fender off due to the hood hinge, heater duct, inner fender and the fact the cable goes through a grommet on the side of the fire wall and if you are using one that is a stock original appearing hard to align with the hole plus fit up the seal. I have replaced antennas on '52-'54 Fords, but only with exist fender holes and probably still have a scar or two:D

dealer option
A lot of radios were dealer installed options, and the location depended on the mechanic and alot of those antennas had the adjustable ball base.

Thanks for the replies, I have a stock antenna with adjustable ball base and before I drilled the hole I was hoping to get an exact location. It looks like about 6" forward of the aft edge and a couple of inches off the centerline.
