53 Stude to 80 Vette Frame
Is it possible/practical to install 53 Stude 2-Dr body onto a 80 Vette frame complete w/all running gear intact? Thank you.

The Studebaker coupe wheel base is 120 inches..much longer then the Vette. The Studebaker frame is more narrow also.
I believe Progressive Automotive in Baltimore, Ohio has a Vette front end kit and one of their customers installed it on his 54 ' Studebaker. Visit their web site. The kit is expensive. The rear Vette half shafts would have to be narrowed to fit under the Studebaker. I like your idea...The 53 and 54 Studebaker body style would go perfect with a road handling suspension of a Vette. You may want to try Art Morrison also. He has developed a Vette set up front and rear for the 55-57 chevys'. Im sure the vette suspension could be made to fit the Stude...if you got the money,time,patience, and energy to make it happen.
