54 chev frame swap

Hi Guys! Is there anyone out there that has put a s-10 frame under a chev panel that has made templates of the body mounts that need to be made or some handy hints. Much appreciated! Thanks in advance.Gerry

Hi............

Hi,this subject has been chewed so many times theres almost nothing left !!! stay with the stock chassis, modify the front and rear as necessary (GM front clip with disc brakes, for example)

Go to chevytalk.org and snoop around a bit. There is a forum just for 49-54 chevy's. I believe the general consensus is that a frame swap is way more hassle than its worth when the original chassis is perfectly sufficient.

On my 53 chevy 2 door, I swapped the rear end eliminating the factory torque tube driveline. I also upgraded to 2.5" leaves since the stockers are weak and made for the encosed driveline. And I am about to put a Chassis Engineering Mustang II clip on it as soon as it arrives. I am also going V8, so if you plan on keeping the I6 it wouldn't be necessary to swap the rear end.

I would say look into a M2 or Jaguar front clip for your car. Waaaayyy less work than a full chassis swap.
