54 chevy 3100 1srt series pick up.

I have a 1954 Chevy pick up and am in the process of restoring it. Want to keep it all original, as it is really bone stock. Any opinions or thoughts? She is a beauty, three on the tree, w/the old stove bolt 235. She needs a little TLC but will clean up easy. It had a old SEARS 216 motor in it that was pretty well smoked. Although I drove it home, I think I killed every mosquito in Macomb county,MI.

You probably want to go to the Stovebolt forum with "stock" questions. But since you asked for opinions/thoughts, and seeing how this IS a hotrodders forum, I say: yank that old drivetrain out and drop a SBC into it, toss the stock suspension and install an IFS kit, and drop that thing into the weeds! For an idea of what I'm talkin about, look at my avatar!
