I was wondering what late model bench seats fit well in a 54 chevy 3100? thanks

custom seats

Measure, Measure, Measure, Particularly seat width, and cushion height. Also take into consideration to the shoulder area of your cab, where the upper corners of your seat may come incontact with the sides of the cab.

re: 54 chevy truck seat

Some seats I'll be considering for my truck -- hopefully this Summer:
Lexus 300sc or 400sc
Dodge Dakota
Plymouth Voyager
96 - 98 Mitsubishi Galant
Silverado

Primarily, it's all a matter of what fits ... but I want low backs, no seatbelts and something new. The color of the seats will determine what I do with the rest of my interior.

re: 54 chevy truck seat

I used the split bench out of a late 70's Olds Tornado. It fits with about 2" clearance on each side. Has a fold down arm rest and low profile head rests which somehow don't really look out of place in the truck. When I bought the seat it was white (that's why I bought it), but plans change and I re-colored it with vinyl dye and now it's black. I think I have a total of $75 invested in it.

re: 54 chevy truck seat

Way to go, Centerline!

Sounds similar to the bench seat I have in my truck now. I think it's out of a Monte Carlo and it's a great seat -- I like the fold-down arm rest -- but it's a cloth seat ... tired looking ... and I'm dreamin' on 2 seats with a console in between.
