On all of the GMC's I've seen they did not have any rubber on them. I've seen a couple of stock ones at the Brothers Truck Show over the years and no one had rubber on them.

Rubber

On my '56 GMC (Cameo) I installed '57 Chevy car rubber bullets. They sit just inside the lip of the bullet and protrude out about 2". Great protection for the delicate lip on the bullet. I'll be doing the same to my '57.

Sorry I don't have them installed or a photo.

I'd wondered if the 57 Chevy rubber would fit well. I'd like to see pictures of that G&R.

Hey it's me B.W.C. owner of the primer red '56 GMC. It' not that much chrome or trim, LOL. But here are some other pictures of the truck. Right now I'm taking it apart to do some metal work, patch panels , hinge pockets & stuff before I paint it. I'm going to make some other changes like replace the rear wheel tubs different carb, lower the truck, some more fabricate a new radiator cross member. The old one will sit to close to the ground when I put the 2 inch drop spindles on it.

Hey it's me again B.W.C. owner of the primer red '56 GMC. I just had to post the pictures of the truck that inspried me to build my truck the way I did and I am going to get my stance as close to his as possible. I took these pictures in Aug or Sept. 1989 in Santa Cruz at the Beach Street Revival Car Show. This Guys truck iz "BAD ***" I wish I had taken more pictures. ohh I know why I didn't, my wife kept telling me , "COME ON LETS GO", HAHAHA it was the last day of our trip and had to head back to L. A.

Also added pictures of my motor before and during install and interior.
