I talked to the guy that did the one in my post and think he said he chopped it 3".

Isaw one where it had been chopped two inches, but then they "pancaked" the roof - took an inch or a bit more out of it. It looked really nice; changed the proportions just right.

Hey Guys
I need a couple measurents.
#1 From the front of the front cab mount to the end of the frame.
#2 From the front of the front cab mount to the center of the bolt hole on
the core support.
I would appreciate it if one of you could get these for me.

Thanks again DD
I checked my clip and it is actually a bit shorter than stock. The problem with it is that it kicks up higher than stock so the lower grille bar sits on it. I'm just going to modify it a little to fix that problem.

I am getting ready to install a battery in my 56. Do you have any photos of the install, or a quick summary? I want to put it where you had yours.
Thanks,
Larry

Hey Bo
When I did mine I did it piece by piece but I was alone. You should be able to do this with a little help from a couple of buddies once you have all the bolts removed. Just take it slow and be careful.

you can take it off in one peice, there is a bolt on each side at the top rear of the fender then on the firewall towards the bottom and under the front radiator support.

if you have someone else to help pull it, its pretty easy one one each side one hand on the wheel well and the other on the headlight "eye brow"
