got the truck running again, i will register it n do the oil tomorrow. I threw some mexican blankets on the bench seat today and looks pretty nice for just laying some blankets on there. I have started painting it with the rattle cans and it is no where near done. I have to put a new brake caliper on as well. And a headlight on the drivers side. Then inspection time. Hopefully I'll get it on the road this weekend for a run out to a local hotrod meet.

Put some 10w30 valoline conventual oil in her today, and fixed the headlight. The collection on the headlight was bad. Kinda sucked. BUT I did get her running. alot better. I forget if I have a therostate in the truck or not lol. hotrodders never do anyway lol. I will have to look tomorrow probly. So final list is.
-seal rear tires again (mag wheels) -do front brakes -fix horn -check for a therostate. Yea yea I cant spell...

Nice to have a list to keep you on track Apache Boy. That is what I do on my truck. If I need to fix something or tighten a bolt or whatever later I will take some blue tape and write on it what I need to do then stick it to the windshield. When i do that task I peel the tape off and toss it.
Keep working on it...it will be a sweeter ride when done! PS for spelling just use the "spell check" button at the bottom of the reply box. Makes me a much better speller!

Is there a complete frame that will work on the 57-59 Apache SWB?
I was told the S10 ext cab short bed, and the 80's SWB wont work.

Steven, 57's weren't Apache's that name started in 58.
And you can put any chassis you want under an old Chevy pickup, all it takes is Hot Rod ingenuity. It all depends on your skill and ability to do it. Gene

well oh well. I'm gonna have to just find a s10 frame and do what appearantly no one has done yet or before and put the s10 frame on the Apache truck.

Theres a guy in a club I'm in that used an s-10 frame and bed for his AD truck . My friend used a lot of parts from s-10's on his truck also. He used the rearend from one so he could put wider tires on it and he used a steering collumn from it also. The AD truck in our club has won a lot of prizes in the Dallas area. Its a nice looking truck.
