the 55 chev ate my finger today lol
well here is the story, i was adjusting the hinges on the 55 today with a buddy of mine, i thought i just about had it , i told my buddy to shut the door slow that way i could watch the front of the door to make sure it cleared the fender u know, with that said i told him to stop for a sec while i got up then bam he closed the door on my darn finger
long story short it popped my nail off and split my finger straight down the center, i now got 6 stitches and 2 of them are right in the nail bed trust me it hurt, hate when stuff like this happens don't you lol

I did worse with my 55....I closed the door on my daughters finger, when she was a kid.........Boy, it hurt me as bad as it hurt her..
Was it that spot between the dash and the door?

Tiresmoke... You definitely have to show us pictures of that.
I locked and shut the door of my car one time, put the keys in my pocket and started to walk off only to get jerked back my finger stuck in the latched and locked door. Surprisingly it didnt hurt very much and it only bled for a few minutes but my finger was black, purple and every other cool color you can think of. bentwings, is that all the same incident? |

Wow. Crap like that just makes your day doesn't it? My cousin jumped off the roof of his house bare foot and landed on a potted meat can a few years back. I think you can imagine what it was like.

Been There
I've done more dumb things to myself over the years than I care to remember, but this one you'll love.
Two years ago, I'm retrimming our family room (one of those three year projects) and we have old friends coming to our house for a visit. The wife says she'll take a day off from work to help me finish the room with painting and such so that morning the two of us get started. Now mind you, she's been after me to finish this for a couple of years. I'm cutting the trim in the garage and bringing it up and installing it & she's doing some painting. Don't ya know I stick the middle finger of my left hand (I'm a righty thank God) into the blade on my table saw. Takes the nail off in about one millisecond, leaves a divot where the nail was, and a little chunk of the tip is also MIA. I hold the bleeding finger and run upstairs to the little missus. She's a nurse. She takes one look and says "You're never gonna grow that nail back, stiches won't help. I took today off to help finish this room, and you're not going to get out of finishing just because you chopped off the end of your finger." She gets a chunk of gauze, wraps the finger, get's a rubber glove from a box of them she has and has me put on the glove to hold the gauze in place and contain the blood. (I had to change the gauze & glove every couple of hours.) Sucker bled for three days. But I finished the room. I figgered that I wouldn't die from the finger but not finishing that room could have been fatal. By the way, the nail grew back. The Big Guy upstairs probably figgerd since I'm married I've suffered enough. |
