This should be a bolt in, for chevy has never changed there patterns, just use the small block flywheel and everything else should bolt up. I`ve seen many late 50`s to mid 60`s chevy and GMC trucks that came with straight 6`s with a small block in there place and they retained the original 3 on the tree transmission.

is that true? i was thinking i would need to use the 235 flywheel on the small block and find some sort of bellhousing to mate the two?

Is this true for a 66 Chevy C10 also? Will a small block match up with the 3 on the tree tranny already installed?

The early Chevy six cyl bellhousing will not fit your small block Chevy! You will have to use an early V-8 bellhousing with the side mounts and a V-8 stick flywheel and starter. The rest of the parts will work.

Be sure your 350 block has the 4 bosses for the front motor mounts.

Bob, any idea if the side-mount bellhousings from the stick-shift pickups from the '60's & early '70's would work?

I believe the side mount pu housings will work (its been a while for me and 55-57 chevies). I thought all of those housings were used up by the circle burners back in the seventies and eighties!
