55 chevy 3600 3/4 ton project begins
Hello to all, my name is Steve and I am new here. I picked up this 55 3/4 ton Chevy for 2500 bucks, I know it looks like a piece but I can see the potential in her. She had been used by a Jewish plumbers for most of her life and now it is time for a total makeover. Got rid of the haggard utility bed already and found a long bed minus the fenders for 150 that is healthy. The body is getting blasted and body worked as of now and the frame just got blasted and painted. I know I got a long way to go from this point and thank you all in advance for the knowledge and insight you have that will assist me in this huge project. I have been reading many threads and know what direction I would like to take this beast in. Here is a description of what I want to go with. 383 stroker, TH400 tranny, 12 bolt posi rear w/3.73 gears. Of course this is subject to change as this project moves forward but this is my focus. I will try to attach pics as I go forth. Thank you for this awesome website.
