is there anyone that can send me detailed measurements of a 55 chevy hood im building a custom 55 pontiac and i need to know if a chevy basic size is the same so i can see the diference besides looking at pictures. so can tell if can make it fit by adding and removing where needed thanx

Larry...I don't have the numbers available, but I tried this years ago...The Pontiac hood was about 7" longer than the chevy, and the shape was all wierd at the front.
What I did with my Poncho was make filler panels to eliminate the grooves where the chrome stripes went. It came out pretty nice and I had no problems punching a bunch of louvers in it...
