55 Chevy no brake lights

Hello, all if a sudden I lost brake lights. Fuses are good and I just installed a new in line brake switch. Parking lights and turn signals work. Brake pressure seems to be the same as when they worked.
A
Has anyone run into this situation and have a cure?
Regards
Doug

brake lights

check for voltage on one side of switch, if switch is working when brake presure applied voltage should be on other side of switch, then check wiring to turn signal switch for voltage, if no voltage out to brake lights your problem may be all in your signal switch. hope this helps.

TS switch

Using a test light, check for voltage at the fuse and (1) terminal of the brake light switch. When the pedal is pressed the brake light switch should show voltage at both terminals.
If they are working the next thing in this circuit is the turn signal switch. The brake light circuit feeds through the TS switch when not being used for the TS.
The TS and brake light fuses are separate.

Brake lights

No voltage at the brake switch. am not very good with auto electrical. What would the turn signal switch have to do with the brake lights?
Thanks
Dug

As Vic mentioned above the TS switch interrupts the brake light feed when the TS is on and the Brake is applied. If you don't have pwr to your Brake switch..... is a pwr supply problem, most likely a fuse is blown.
