Post 55 chevy rim sizes$

In need to find out if any body out there has any info. as to what is the biggest tire and rim combo that can be put on the front and rear end of my fifty five chevy b-210. I'd like to keep the tires and rims 3/4 if and inch short of the fender wall. Also can info. on the back spacing and the possibility of rim sizes that fit be provided. I' currently looking at the possibility of moving the springs under the frame any ideas on any 55chevy info. would be greatly appreciated! "Live to Rod, Rod to Live".

My son's 57 BelAir has 205-70R-15 tires on the front mounted on 7 inch rims (old 70's chrome reverse which take the Police/Taxi hubcaps). Same rims on the back with 215-70R-15 (biggest we could use and still change the tire easily, had to flatten the inside edge of the wheel opening a little).
What would be the purpose of moving the springs under the frame?

springs relocation

Relocating the springs to under or inside the frames allows the use of 10 inch tires in the rear, but I was trying to find out what the largest set of rims and tires would fit with out altering the suspension. thanks.
