55 Chevy Update (Dial Up Beware)

I posted this B4 and was ask to keep everyone updated, so it's getting closer now. my buddie is building a American graffiti 55 Chevy car. everything will have the 70s era look, from the gages, shifter, wheels, ect. wheels are 3 1/2" ansen alum slots in the front and 10" Fenton alum slots in the rear. he had the body on a rotarie for 2 + yrs, it got new floors ect. and was media blasted, it was blue & white with a 10 bolt rear and no engine when he got it.

he set it up for a BBC and a 4 speed. and a moser 35 spline ford 9" with a detroit locker with 433 Gears and rear disc brakes off a 77 Lincoln. the frame is done, and it was media blasted & painted with new brake & fuel lines ect.

he made the fenderwell headers and had a machine shop finish welding and smothing the seams and had the headers coated.

the engine is a 2 piece rear main 454 4 bolt main block, he just got back from the machine shop. it was bored .30torque plate honed, line honed, zero decked, he bought a crower 496 stroker kit with H Beams, forged pistons, 4340 crank, witch he had balanced, a crower roller cam & new brodix heads that were cleaned up & flowed tested. he has several 2 x 4 intakes one tunnel ram and a couple single 4 barrel intakes. hes not 100% on witch intake yet.

the body is finished and back on the frame, it's painted inside & out now. still needs glass & the front clip yet.

heres some pics

you can see in this last pic theres plastic on the frame so when the body was painted there was no over spray on the frame.

Way Cool!

Now that is the very essence of COOOOOOL!, Asking about what intake, It's a 55, The cross ram is OK, but deep down you know it should have a tunnel ram.

Looks great. But ROLL IT OUTSIDE so we can see what it looks like in the light. Or at least open the garage door. On your body hoist, how high up does that go in the air? can you show a pic of the top of it also.

At the NASC Nats here in England last August, we had these two meet up & cruise the park. Everyone & I mean everyone turned out to see...

Your buddy's car looks even better! Pass on my regards.

Yeah and lifting that body from the center through the top gives me the shakes . Guess it worked out OK though.
