Bought a 55 Ford F100 Truck and discovered I need to do a lot of work on it, so much for the great deal. Discovered while replacing the radiator which leaked that the front cross member which the radiator support bolted to was merely a piece of crap rigged up with over-sized nuts as spacers, and which probably led to the radiator stressing itself until it failed. What I need is help in finding out how to repair or replace this cross member. Been searching and have found nothing short of a complete frame. If anyone knows the dimensions and or has a drawing of the pieces to fabricate the cross member, or a source where I can get the pieces to repair/fabricate the cross member I would greatly appreciate it. The few I have found do not want to remove the cross member from their surplus frames, which I understand, but it would be great if someone knew of anyone who has a rotted out frame with this cross member basically intact.
