I'm re-wiring and HOPEFULLY re-painting my dash. I did not see bolts holding in the dash, so I guess I'm asking:
1.) Is it easier to cut out the dash and re-weld? If so, any gotchas?
2.) If I need to mask everything off and paint it, any suggestions on how to keep the over-spray from my white leather seats, and white head-liner, without taping off the entire interior?

Dont take out the dash...........remove all the seats and interior panels...........You will be glad you did......You will still have to mask off the widows etc.

When I painted the wife's dash in her 56 I had trouble getting good coverage up where the windshield meets the dash. Seems the air turbulance kept causing extreme orange peel. Maybe I didn't have the correct mix of reducer but the rest of the dash came out perfect. The next time I'll pull the windshield to make it easier.
