56 chevy front seat
I have been searching and trying to find out if a seat from a two door (front split bench) out of a 56 oldsmobile car will work in a 56 chevy two door car, i had found that they will work out of a pontiac of the same year in the knowledge base but could not find anything on a oldsmobile. any help would be appreciated. What i really am saying is will a oldsmobile seat work in a chevy of the same year both cars are two doors. Thanks 56-210

i dont know for sure, but if the poncho seat fits then the olds should too.

if you are not putting in a stock seat, whats wrong with going to the wrecker and picking up two buckets?

56 Chevy seats

I had a stock seat in my 2 door wagon and replaced it with buckets out of a Sebring uonvertible with integral seat belts. The problem with the bucket seat issue is that the floor in the cars is not flat but slopes upward from the door sill to the trans tunnel. I had to screw around with some brackets to make the buckets fit.
I do still have the stock seat and may go back to it if the buckets don't feel right.
I could have put seat belts in but the car was painted when I got it and I didn't want to have to repaint the b pillar to put shoulder belts in.
Good luck.
