'56 came with a 283 as an option so the motor mounts should be available through a reproduction parts outfit. everything else should fall into place. i used old chevy ('64) motor mounts (frame and engine sides) and just drilled the crossmember for a th-350 rubber mount. still works great to this day. if you want to do this you'll have to cut the frame side mounts down some and weld them in. i should mention that they were 1964 chevy pickup truck mounts.
