The look I am going for is 12 x15 Welds tucked under the rear fenders I have a Ford 8.8 rear end and I will widen the rear fenders 4 inches between the box and fender.
I want an old school rake look with the front end down but not slammed and 50's in the back. Need to drop the front |

Wtf
WOW, i dont even know where to start, maybe with stop being so cheap and pick up a mustang 2 front end set up to completly fit perfectly no questions asked with coil overs in it and call it a day. if its not low enough 1 - 2 maybe 3 (you decide) inches off the ground then put shockwaves (air bags) in it. two "Z-ing" the fram is completely unstable they do it on rat rods all the time and even if you box it, its still one peice ontop of another where something is gunna give. now let me get this straight your thinking about putting your cammaro front sub in your big f100 then basically "z" it, Unstable to the max. heavyer truck with a lighter frame, dude do it right the first time sometimes inovation takes a back seat to safety and this is just plain on safe. and if you dont have the money yet then wait just think of all the money youll be saving on medical bills when your front sub doesnt just fall out of the truck on a highway! im not trying to start stuff im just being honest.

More often than not those camero clips on old pickups look like crap and that's where yours is headed if you stack the frames. Plus they are too wide anyway.

I agree with all that was said above for the most part however there have been tons of Effies and first series chev trucks with Camaro clips that when done right is an OK set up. As far as the weight of the vehicle those two are very close to each other. The average Camaro weighs 3600 and the average F100 is around 3700.
Using the Clip; As mentioned above, I do not like Z ing the frame. True it has been done and you will talk to guys who have done who have tens of thousands of miles on them... doing it in this day and age with the availability of aftermarket parts, it is a band aid and in reality may not save you much money by the time you get done prepping the sub, rebuilding bushings, brakes, bearings ect. What you have to pay attention to in using that piece is where that front suspension was engineered to be at ride height from GM. You have a couple of inches on the lowering side where you are safe however if you try to take it too far out of its engineered height then your geomrety is going to be out to lunch and the truck will have serious handling problems. Also keep in mind that if you are looking at that subframe with it laying on the ground with the springs still in it and no weight on it; it is way above what factory ride height is intended to be. I actually see alot more of these trucks where the front sub was installed at this max extended height then when they actually get the weight of the vehicle down on it, it has actually gone way to low and they are trying to pick it up higher. The use of an aftermarket crossmemeber; If you purchased one of these from a reputable shop you can be rest assured they have already done their homework on the geometry and it will designed for your truck to sit where you want it ... not to mention that you will be upgrading your brakes, steering and better overall geometry to boot.

Jag ifs?
I think Deuce has a Jag IFS under his truck. they are easier than a camero, Gets you down easier, Lots of picts on other sites , Ford truck, hamb, etc. Jags have a crosmember with everything you need except the top shock mounts. I bought 2 jags IFS last year for $ 100, we pulled.
