57 chev 3100 front shock mounting

I installed a CPP power steering kit along with their shock relocating kit. I need to know how and where to install upper shock mount. The shocks have 5 1/4" travel. So,what angle should the shocks be,approx 25 deg? Should the front axle be unloaded when locating upper mount so as to have proper shock travel once loaded? I have the old shocks off now, and with the front axle on jackstands, there is about 2" before spring bottoms on rubber bump stop.So I guess I need to know how the front end should be sitting to properly locate upper shock mount, and angle, so as to have shock at middle of its travel with vehicle sitting at ride height. Anyone have pics?

i would have it sitting as it would be when on the ground
and with the full weight thats going to be true for the susp
and then you can set it up for the proper travel
