57 Chevy dropped spindles??

I'm researching all the different types of dropped spindles for a 57 Chevy that will be a street driver, nothing radical. I'm also going to put on tubular control arms, so I would like to stick with one dealer for all the parts so I'm not piecing stuff together. I'm finding there are a lot of differences in spindles, so I thought I would ask y'all for advice...

1) What spindles are best, 1 piece (built in brackets) or 2 piece (bolt on brackets)?

2) What's the best material, full steel units or ducticle iron (cast?) w/4130 steel, 4140 steel, or 1045 heat-treated steel spuds?

3) One company offers either late or early model calibers and brackets for their kit for about the same money. Any opions on these?

4) Is it worth stepping up into slotted rotors and multi-piston calibers?
