I know for the 57 Chevs that the ball bearing setups are almost $275 for the ball bearings/races alone. There is a tapered roller bearing conversion kit that includes the bearings, races and later model hubs for and the roller

New hubs and roller bearing package $399
Chevy Hub Conversion Kit, Tapered Roller Bearing, 1955-1957 - Ecklers Classic Chevy Parts

Reconditioned hubs with new tapered roller bearing package $289
Chevy Tapered Roller Bearing Hub Conversion Kit, 1955-1957 - Ecklers Classic Chevy Parts

Replacement stock ball bearings that complete both sides of the front end $239.00
Chevy Wheel Bearing Kit, Front, 1956-1957 - Ecklers Classic Chevy Parts

Replacement tapered bearing package for the next time after you have already converted to the tapered roller bearings the 1st time. It says this kit uses races $15.99

So $15.99 vs. $239 for the ball bearings that need repacking every 25,000miles.
Chevy Wheel Hub Tapered Bearing, Race, Seal Kit, Front, 1955-1957 - Ecklers Classic Chevy Parts

Here is the same kit but doesn't use bearing races $15.99
Chevy Wheel Hub Tapered Bearing & Seal Kit, Front, 1955-1957 - Ecklers Classic Chevy Parts

This all from Ecklers 1955, 1956, 1957 Classic Chevy Parts - 55, 56, 57 Chevrolet Parts - Ecklers Classic Chevy Parts But I don't know if the Chev stuff will eb the same as your Olds.

I will be doing this replacement or conversion myself.

peace
