57 pontiac hydromatic issues in R, and DR/L

OK, I rebuilt the trans myself. it was a complete trans that came out of my car. I was told by previous owner it didn't work, thats all he could tell me. Upon disassembly it didn't seem wasted, meaning only thing visibly wrong was a big 8 inch round wavey spring washer was in 6 pieces. I have a factory 57 hydro manual(lifesaver), I purchased a new rebuild kit from Fatsco, in New Jersey (everything in stock). So I did it, took it apart, cleaned it, checked everything, it wasen't easy, it wasen't hard, but for my first time it was ok. Back to now, fluid level is perfect, I put the car in reverse and it just barely moves. I give it gas and it's like, it's slipping, it wants to go backwards but it just doesn't grab. Put the car in low it is fine, goose the gas and it jumps. I put it in drive/r it is also fine. I put it in drive/l it slips just as bad as it does in reverse? Could something be stuck in the valve body? It has to be something stupid. I have too much time to give up now, I had to make tools to take apart and put back together. PLease help!!!!!!

did a few tests yesterday and today, I baught a pressure guage and checked the pressure in p/n/d left/d right/1/rev. all pressures in park through 1st were the same at 110psi, in reverse it burried the guage at 175. i'm assuming it has to be around 200psi like the book sais. I dropped the pan today and took apart the entire valve body. followed the factory manual again and this time i measured each sprong with a caliper and they were all correct and in proper spots, thank god for factory manuals. the only thing that i saw was one of the valves was stickey, i went to pull it out with my pen magnet and it didn't come. i sprayed the hole with brake clean and emeryclothed the valve in case of any burrs. i put it all back together and same thing!!!!!!!!!! ahhhhhhhhh!
