i would think that car would have all kinds of surprises if the quarters were riveted on. obviously somebody didn't do things the right way. i'd be careful and thoroughly check over the car because you don't know what bright ideas somebody had with it. don't want to discourage you from buying it because those old rancheros are cool cars. just go over it with fine-tooth comb. maybe if you find some questionable things you can work a lower price.

Unfortunatly the guy is big time into Fords and will not budge on the price its " if i sell it , i sell it, if i dont, i dont".I have alwys liked them and its not a car i see a lot of, ive gotta finish my Elky but would hate to pass this up.

I would probably have to stay away from something like that unless the price is unbeatable.
He knows that you are wanting and won't bidge on the price for that reason. Tell him what you are willing to pay and why, then tell him that if he changes his mind to give you a call...He'll think about it and give you a call back. $2500.00 is quite a bit for a rough car. But obviously he is wanting to unload the car or he wouldn't have it for sale to begin with, don't let his 'if i sell it,i sell it' attitude fool you. Later, WEIMER |
