'59 Apache to '56 Chev front tin swap
I'm working over my beater '59 Apache and am considering changing out the complete front tins. A friend of mine has the set from a 1 ton '57, inc the fenders, hood, lower valance and core support. The '57 tins are in better shape, and I like the look of the earlier stuff better. To make the Frankentruck deal complete, I want to use a '55 or '56 grill, which in theory, should also fit the '57. Can anyone point me to an article or thread about doing this? How compatable are the parts?

Darn good idea! My running mate Gunney has the tins off his '57 Cameo, so I'll measure his and compare. I'll make sure to get everything forward of the cab since the inner fenders are bound to be different as well. So far, it doesn't sound like too big a deal.
