59 Caddy frenched tail lights on 41 Chevy coupe

Custom frenched 1959 Cadillac tail lights on my 1941 Chevy coupe. Not my work but it looks awesome, great idea! They also fabbed the "bumper" holes for lights, relocated the fuel filler and shaved the handles, truck & doors. She gonna be a sweeet ride when I git r done!

I just got back into the hobby 2 yrs ago, my first build was a 61 Unibody pickup. Sweet ride even if it was a Ford

here one about a year ago, its black epoxy primer but it looks pretty good when it rains....I got a bunch of pics still in my camera. got the suspension done and bagged it.right now I'm reworking the sheetmetal on the nose trying to get a different look. oh and I got some junk in the trunk now too...I tend to get more work done on it in my driveway than at the shop,I dont know why, less distractions, maybe??? or the wife *****in at me to get offa my as's and get that POS in the driveway done so she dont have to look at it anymore...

It's got problems to work out, but I specifically looked for cars with minimal rust, maily cuz I don't have the facility to handle welding, etc. Don't have the knowledge either but I could figure it out, I welded some when I was pipefitting/plumbing (herdin turds) NASTY JOB!

Actually the tail lites are the third brake lites out of an Impala deck lid ,I cut the metal out and grafted it in my car, then I boiled the lenses to soften them up enough so they would curve to match the contour of the car,I was going to french them in but decided I liked them flush this first pic is what it started out as...One thing about working on a rotted out hulk is you cant screw it up,everything you do makes it look better you can really let your imagination run wild.
My wife was just the oppisite, she said If you buy that POS your cut off.....So I bought it right there and then...

Can I join the Chevy coupe fest? This is my '48 Chevy 5 window coupe, with a '47 grille, which I like better than the '48 grille.

Since the pictures were taken, the grille and bumper have been painted red, and the Camaro wheels have been replaced with new chrome wheels. It's in my shop right now, and will get a new red leather interior this winter. I sold the old gray velour seats and interior to a guy with a '47 for enough to buy the leather.
